There are some exciting things happening out in the desert in Yuma…
The Taylor’s are hard at work out in Yuma, Arizona. The Vertical Church has begun a new initiative entitled “Uprising.” It is strong push to get the people of the church actively serving and growing and to fulfill their vision of being the hands and feet of Christ.
The first part of the challenge is a Bible reading challenge. They are encouraging their church to read through the New Testament in 63 Days. They have provided a reading plan and even an audio CD of the New Testament.
The second part of the challenge is to touch the lives of 5000 people in Yuma with acts of kindness. Part of the plan involves Vacation Bible School, Back to School Party for the Elementary School where they have been meeting, Trunk or Treat and a Surprise Christmas in December.
Part three involves some exciting news. The Church will be moving into their own building on July 5th. They will be leasing a 15,000 square foot movie theater. They plan on starting services in this building in August.

Jason will be one of the featured speakers at this year’s National Youth Conference in Cincinnati. He will be speaking on Sunday Night. Please pray that God will guide him as he prepares for this great opportunity.
Also pray that the church will continue to see many come to Christ. God seems to be opening many doors in this regard.
