We interviewed this year’s E-Team participants from Illinois and here is Jessica Davis’ story from E-Team Chicago…

I am so glad that I did E-Team this year.  It has been the best experience of my life and has changed my life drastically.  Going on E-Team Chicago gave me the chance to meet some amazing people and it allowed God to show me where help is really needed. 

I didn’t really know what I was supposed to do with my life until I went on E-Team and actually gave God the chance to change my life and I got closer to Him.  It was a totally different experience from what I expected. 

Training week had a huge impact on me and was actually harder than I expected it to be, but I still loved it.  My favorite class was definitely Benchmark.  It forced me to talk to people and to work with them and because of it I really got to know my team and now they are still some of my best friends.  Some people might say that they hate going to worship services, but these were nothing like any that I have ever been to.  These services were amazing and you could always feel God there, it was awesome! 

In Chicago we tried a lot of new foods that I didn’t always like, but there was this one thing in a polish restaurant that I don’t remember the name of but it was like a folded cheese thing with other stuff in it that I did not ask about.   But I know that it tasted awesome. 

I loved Chicago so much and I saw a need there that maybe I can help with and be a part of making a difference there.  So I am definitely going back.  My plans are to go to college there and get a degree as a teacher and get close to the children there and hopefully I will get the chance to tell the people there about God and what He can do for them. 

I would encourage every one to join E-Team if they ever get the chance, not only will they get the chance to make a difference in other peoples’ lives, but it will change their own lives too.  I am so much closer to God since E-Team and I would say that it has probably been the best choice I ever made.
