All churches are encouraged to send their pastors to the First FWB Church in Mt. Vernon for the first sessions of the Palmer Institute.
What is it?
The Palmer Leadership Institute contains six module presented in three sessions to help pastors and leaders develop their ministries. Through a process of instruction, coaching and mentoring each participant will be equipped and encouraged to lead and develop a healthy Christ-honoring growing church.

What are the six modules?
1. Renewing the spiritual leader.
2. Developing a healthy church.
3. Organizing for growth and ministry.
4. Becoming a godly leader and communicator.
5. Understanding and dealing with conflict and change.
6. Developing leaders within your congregation.
Developing Servant Leaders will be presented by Dr. Doug Earls on Friday October 2nd from 6:30 to 9:00 pm , and Saturday October 3rd from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with lunch provided.
Douglas Earls is a native of Missouri. He has been the pastor of Calvary Chapel FWB Church in Buffalo, Missouri, for 18 years. Under his influence the church has experienced significant numerical growth. He is the founder and facilitator of the Palmer Leadership Institute, which specializes in developing pastoral leadership skills. Doug presents leadership training in the nation of Panama each year, and he is assisting in the development of a new seminary in Chame. He holds the following degrees: B.A. from Harris Teachers College in St. Louis, MO; and M.R.E. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO; and a D. Min from A.G.S.T. in Springfield, MO. He and his wife Betsy have one daughter, Anna.
