Neil Barcroft

Neil Barcroft, age 51, of Iuka, died Friday, May 13th, as a result of an automobile accident at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Xenia Road.  He was a loving husband, dad and provider.

Funeral services for Neil Barcroft will be held at ten Wednesday morning at the Calvary Free Will Baptist Church in Salem, with Travis Penn and Jamie Lee officiating.  Burial in the Paradise Cemetery.  Visitation from six to eight Tuesday evening at the Calvary Free Will Baptist Church in Salem.  Memorials may be made to the Living Water Project or Free Will Baptist Disaster Relief and may be left at the Rogers-Atkins Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include father:  John Barcroft of Florida, mother:  Jean (Miller) Barcroft of Florida, wife:  Tina (May) Rennier Barcroft of Iuka, four sons:  John Jacob Barcroft, James Barcroft, Benjamin Barcroft and Samuel Barcroft all of Iuka, step daughter:  Lynsey Rennier of Olney, three brothers:  Duane Barcroft and wife Pam of Monmouth, David Barcroft and wife Ann of Maryland, and Mike Barcroft and wife Brenda of South Carolina, sister:  Carolyn Evaro and husband Roy of North Carolina, step grandson:  Raegan Rennier and numerous nieces and nephews.

The 17th Annual Illinois Master’s Men Retreat will be at Camp Hope on September 16th-18th, 2010. 

 Please share this information with the men of your church and encourage them to attend.  There will be no registration fee.  Local pastors and laymen will be bringing the messages and devotions.

Roy Harris, book author and former pastor, will present, “Caring for the Caregiver,” at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Johnston City, Thursday, May 6, 7:00 pm. This workshop will encourage caregivers and help pastors, family and friends of caregivers better understand what caregivers experience. The seminar is free and open to all.

Harris was primary caregiver to his wife Diana as she battled cancer. Out of that experience, he wrote the book Caring for the Caregiver to encourage and help those who provide care for terminally ill family members and friends. Bringing 16 years experience as a pastor, Harris, a nationally known conference speaker, is often featured at couples’ retreats, men’s retreats, leadership training seminars, and church growth workshops. Caring for the Caregiver, released in December 2009, now ranks 19 on Tower Books top 100 Caregiving bestsellers list and continues to climb in sales at Barnes & Noble online, Books-A-Million, and Amazon.com.

This free workshop is provided as a ministry of First Free Will Baptist Church, located at the corner of Broadway and Monroe in Johnston City.
