Disaster Response Team Equipment List

The mission of this ministry would be to promote the gospel of Christ through the volunteer response to disaster situations, (storms, floods, terror attacks, etc.) The team would hand out Gospel packets, with information of the nearest FWB Church, with a follow up encouraged through the local FWB Church.

The Following equipment is needed:

*16 foot enclosed utility trailer (This trailer has been acquired and lettered)

*Generator(s)

*Power cords (12 gauge/ heavy duty, 50ft. / 100ft.)

*Lights on stands

*Gas cans

*Chain saws (Stihl or Husqvarna brands preferred, 16 or 18 inch. These brands are preferred by lumberjacks, and seem to be more reliable and durable, but we will accept any brand or model.)

*Chain saw hardhats and chain saw chaps, (required for insurance purposes.)

*Sledge hammers and wedges

*Timberjack, (to cant logs for sawing)

*Gas powered pole saw /with chain saw head.

*2 inch transfer pump, (4hp or larger)

*Suction and discharge hoses

*More gas cans, (When we enter a disaster area, there probably will no be any gas or fuel available, so we will have to carry in all the fuel that we will need. )

*Log chains

*Tow straps

*Ropes, 5/8 or 3/4 inch

*Come-a-longs

*Wheelbarrow (s)

*Ladders, (step and extension, fiberglass, for safety.)

*Push brooms

*Round point shovels

*Flat shovels

*Yard rakes

*Hammers, Pry bars, Saws

*Leather gloves, First aid kit, Fire extinguishers, Hardhats

*4 foot work bench, with vice, and large locking rollers, (could be rolled outside and used to sharpen and maintain saws and equipment.)

*12 volt chain saw sharpener

*Rain shelter

*Bottled water, food, other personal supplies.

*DISASTER RELIEF FUND, (to cover cost of fuel, insurance, miscellaneous expenses.)
