Hotel Information:

The two hotels available for the state meeting are the Super 8 and Days Inn.  The cost per room is $62.99 ( this is double occupancy room).  The Super 8 has continental breakfast and the Days Inn has a restaurant.  The cost is for both hotels.  When making reservations please tell the receptionist you are with the Illinois Free Will Baptist Meeting that is being held in Benton.  The hotel will then give them the special rate.  If you have any questions you can call Harlen Johnson at the church at 618-439-3262.

State Association plans 50 Year Anniversary Celebration at the First FWB Church in Benton

Old Pictures, letters, booklets and brochures are needed for our 50th Anniversary celebration in March 2010.  We plan to have a slide presentation at our State Meeting showing churches, pastors, workers, special events, etc. from 1960 down to the present.  If you have anything to share, please mail it to:

This play is about a Pastor who moves into his new church and begins to cause a stir.  It is a humorous presentation, but with a message.  Hopefully you’ll go away from this event ready to kick a few turkeys yourself.  

Tickets for the Dinner Theater are $10 for Adults, $5 for ages 6-12 and ages 5 and under are free. The proceeds will be going to the Calvary CTS.

A quick rehearsal will begin at the Calvary church at 6:15 pm.  We are really looking forward to this event.

to be held in Salem on March the 20th and 21st.  We are planning on an exciting weekend and want to inform everyone of the weekend’s activities.

On Thursday Night the CE Board is hosting a Praise and Worship Seminar with Elizabeth Kohn and Travis Penn. All pastors and worship leaders are encouraged to attend. The CTS board will be highlighted…during the evening service on Friday night. If you have students who are participating in Bible Memorization this year, we would love to use them in the service. There will also be a Youth Choir on the Friday Service of the State Meeting with a Youth Rally to follow after the Evening Service. We are welcoming all school age kids and teens to participate in the choir and the rally. If you have some kids at your church who would like to participate in the choir or with the Bible readings, please contact Pastor Penn using the contact information below.
At the youth rally we will have volleyball, basketball and other games as well as lots of pizza. There is no cost to attend the rally. We would love to have lots of area youth at the service to learn about CTS and to share in a fun time after the service.

You also won’t want to miss the Drama at Dinner on Friday entitled Don’t Kick the Turkey’s! Tickets for the Dinner Theater are $10 with the proceeds going to the Calvary CTS.
